President Donald Trump made an unexpected visit to Iraq on Wednesday, making it his first outing to US troops conveyed in a battle region since being chosen two years back.
The President arrived at 7:16 pm neighborhood time at Al-Asad Air Base in western Iraq, joined by his significant other Melania Trump where he addressed troops and met with military pioneers.
"President Trump and the First Lady ventured out to Iraq late on Christmas night to visit with our troops and Senior Military initiative to express gratitude toward them for their administration, their prosperity, and their forfeit and to wish them a Merry Christmas," White House representative Sarah Sanders tweeted.
Presidential outings to support troop resolve have been a longstanding custom in the long periods of war following the September 11, 2001 fear monger assaults, and Trump has taken significant analysis for declining as of recently to encounter a combat area.
Trump is relied upon to utilize the Iraq trek to additionally disclose his choice to end the Syria organization and cut troops in Afghanistan.
